Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Policy explains how ToonsTranslate handles information when you visit, create an account, buy credits or translate images. For privacy requests, contact [email protected].
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, verification status and password hash if you set a password. Google sign-in can provide your identifier, email, name and profile picture.
- Translation information: original images, translation results and related processing records.
- Purchase information: order and provider references, amounts, currency, payment status and credit history. Card details are entered with the payment provider; we do not receive or store your full card number or security code.
- Technical information: IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, browser and device characteristics, session identifiers, request logs and security signals.
- Support information: messages and other information you send when requesting assistance.
2. Purposes and legal bases
We use information to operate accounts, deliver translations and downloads, process purchases, maintain credit balances, provide support, diagnose errors, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Automated checks can flag or deny a welcome-credit claim; you can contact support for human review.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, providing the service relies on performing our agreement with you. Necessary security and abuse prevention are assessed against our legitimate interests and your rights. Other processing relies on legal obligations or consent where required. These bases do not remove separate consent requirements for accessing information on your device.
3. Service providers and sharing
We send images and translation content to third-party AI providers to deliver the service. Providers may change as we add or update models. They process this information to provide their services and may retain limited records for security or legal requirements. Our deletion schedule does not control their separate retention obligations.
Hosting, email and security providers help operate the site. Cloudflare may process network requests for delivery and protection. Google processes Google sign-in when selected, and Google Fonts requests include normal connection information. Stripe or PayPal processes payments when offered at checkout. Where enabled, an IP-reputation provider receives the IP address used to connect to the website to assess network reputation and help prevent abuse.
Providers receive information needed for their functions. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or in a lawful business transfer with appropriate notice. We do not sell personal information or display uploads in a public gallery.
4. Cookies, storage and device checks
Cookies and browser storage support sign-in sessions, security, theme preferences and prevention of repeated welcome-credit claims. Free-credit checks can collect a device identifier, browser and operating-system details, screen and language settings, time zone, hardware and rendering characteristics, font or audio-rendering signals, and network or VPN/proxy indicators. Hashed identifiers may still be linkable; they are not necessarily anonymous.
These checks support security and promotion eligibility, not advertising. Clearing storage or restricting browser features can affect sign-in or automatic free-credit eligibility; contact support for review. The current site does not use advertising cookies.
5. Retention
Translated downloads are normally available for 24 hours before scheduled cleanup. Original images, translation results and related processing records are normally retained for 30 days to investigate errors. Download expiration does not mean all related records are removed at the same moment.
Detailed trial-security observations normally remain for 90 days after the last observation. Limited pseudonymous records of used welcome-credit claims can remain for up to 730 days from the claim, including after account deletion. Cleanup schedules and temporary operational delays affect exact deletion times.
Account and history records remain while needed for your account. Payment providers retain their own transaction records. Information needed for unresolved support issues, disputes or legal obligations may be retained for the applicable period.
6. Deletion and your rights
Settings lets you request account deletion; active translations may need to finish first. This removes your account and associated history and initiates removal of processing data. Limited anti-abuse claims and legally necessary records can remain as described above. Deletion removes your credit balance, so contact us about eligible refunds beforehand.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or obtain a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where applicable, and complain to a data-protection authority. Email us to exercise these rights. We may verify that a request is yours and will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.
7. International processing and security
Providers may process information in other countries. Applicable transfer requirements and safeguards depend on the providers and countries involved. We use access controls and private processing storage, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information unnecessary for translation.
8. Age and changes
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal information. We will update this page's date when the Policy changes and provide any further notice required by law.
